Q.I will not be able to come to registration the day before the race. Can I do it on the race day?

A.Yes, we will have a registration early morning on the race day.

Q. Is (Will) this race one of qualifying races for the UTMF?

A.Yes, FTR100 will be 5 points and FT50 will be 3 points. However, The number of qualifying points required will be decided after the race and it is possible to change.

Q.Is there any exception or special case to enter the race?

A.All racers are required entry qualifications under conditions to participate in this race perfectly. No exception will be allowed.

Q. I entered FT50, but I would like to change FTR100. Is it possible?

A.No. If you’ve signed up for the race through the Japanese registration system and opted to pay via bank transfer, you must make the payment by the payment deadline or your registration will be cancelled. Once you make the payment for FT50, race category changes are not allowed under any circumstances.

Q.The start and finish point of FT50 is different. Will the race be transporting FT50 racer’s belongings/bags to the finish line?

A.Yes. FT50 racers can drop off their bags at the start. The bags will be transported to the finish line.

Q.Over 30km trail running race experience is required for enter FT50. Can I include any full marathon race experience?

A.No, unfortunately we strict to require the racers over 30km TRAIL RUNNING race experience. We are looking forward to seeing you next year, after you will finish your over 30km trail running race.

Q.Are there any sighposts at turning point in the mountain and city area? Enough visibility at night?

A.We will provide enough sighposts which are easy to look even at night

Q.I would like to know about aid stations, what kind of food or drink will be provided?

A.There are A1~A9 aid stations and we will provide water, coke, sports drink and some hot drinks depends on time slot. Also we will provide UDON (thick white noodle made of wheat flour), SOBA (buckwheat noodles), Onigiri (rice balls), cream puffs, fruit punch and some kind of fresh fruits.

Q.Is there any place to drop bag for prepare food and change clothes that can be picked up?

A.FTR100 racers can prepare one drop bag that can be picked up at A6 Hanno aid station. There are no drop bags for the FT50.

Q.I’m going to enter FTR100, but I will not be able to go there the day before the race. Is it OK to ask my friend to registration before the race day for me?

A.No, please come on the race day for registration. The registration by your friend as your proxy is not allowed.

Q.Is there any place to rest or nap on the course of FTR100?

A.There are A6, A8, A9 aid stations and tents with lay on a sheet for your rest.

Q.What is the rule about using trekking poles on FTR100?

A.Trekking poles are prohibited to use due to protect other runners or hikers and natures.

Q.I’m not up to entry qualifications but I do wish to entry this race. Is there any possibility?

A.November in Japan is late autumn and tough season and course. We are sorry but we can not offer you to entry this year for your safety. Please train hard and get entry qualifications. We are looking forward to seeing you next year.

Q. Is there the entry list of Fun trails 100k Chichibu Okumusashi publicly announced?

A.The entry list of Fun trails 100km will be released on our official website.

Q. Do I have to bring my baggage with my race wear on for race at registration to baggage check before the race day?

A.You don’t have to wear it at registration but please bring your mandatory equipment for baggage check.

Q. Will the advance notification or application documents be sent by mail or registration without them and get there?

A.Race guidebook and others will be sent by mail in advance.

Q. I’m going to enter FT50 and I would like to park my car near finish line at Chichibu. What time will the gate open at parking lot? Can I enter there before the race day?

A.You can park your car the day before the race, on 17th Friday. Aslo you can stay overnight in your car, but you can not pitch your tent outside.

Q. I entered FTR100 but I will not be able to participate. Is it possible to ask my friend to get my participation award or give my entry qualification to my friend as a proxy?

A.You can ask your friend to get your participation award at reception desk. Also you can transfer your entry qualification through runnet website “Uzureru” but it's only in Japansese.

Q. I’m going to enter FTR100, Do I have to prepare any belongings? Where should I check about this? Will I be checked at registration?

A.You can ask your friend to get your participation award at reception desk.However. you can not transfer your qualification to your friend.

Q.Is there any aid station where I can get some hot water to make cup noodles or freeze dried soup to eat?

A.At A1 aid station, we can provide you some hot water.

Q.Do I have to prepare my personal cup for not only cold drinks but also hot drinks? Is there any shops to buy some gears near start point on the day before the race and on the race day?

A.We would recommended you to prepare your personal cup for both cold and hot drinks, but we have some paper cups at each aid stations. There will be some shops near start point, but you will not able to get everything for the race there.

Q.I have no printer to print my agreement document. Can you prepare a paper document to sign my name?

A.We will prepare some documents. Please sign at the registration desk.

Q.I entered FTR100 but I will not be able to arrive Chichibu before 19:00 the day before the race. Is it possible to ask my friend for my registration?

A.You and your mandatory equipment will be checked at the registration desk. You can check in before the race on the race day.

Q.I would like to work as a volunteer, with my friends. Any suggestions?

A.We can accept your volunteer as a team at aid station, but other volunteering could be difficult as a team. If you have any special request, please contact info@fun-trails.com

Q.If I ask for volunteering for three days, What about my shift for work?

A.Your shift will be 10 hours, maximum 15hours includes some rest. Accomodation on Friday night and meals will be provided. Accomodation on Saturday night will be in staff tent.

Q.What about accomodations for volunteers?

A.Accomodation for voulnteers from Friday for over two days, we will prepare Ryokan (Japanese style inn) on Friday night. We prepare some tents for staff on Saturday night.

Q.Is there special assistant points for cheering and assist? Is it any problem to support food for runners on your race rule?

A.Cheering points are as below. Supplying food to runners other places is not allowed.
●All Cheering on foot is very welcome.
●No-entry by car, Cheering on foot is allowed, No support area :A1, A2, A4, A5, A7,A8
●Permitted cars are allowed: A3, A6, A9
●Support to runners are allowed : A3, A6, A9
※ You need permission for your car to entry area in advance.
※ Supporters are within 2 persons per one runner.

Q.Is there any runners tracker like “runners update” at each aid stations on the race day?

A.Yes, we will prepare runners tracker, the details will be on our website later. The check point are start、A2, A3, A6, A8, A9 and finish on FTR100, start、A8, A9, finish on FT50.

Q.Is there any place to take a shower and nap after I finish the race?

A.There is BUKO ONSEN (hot spring ) near finish point and you can use shuttle bus to go there, 24 hours on the race day. (addmission will be charged).

Q.I would like to know accomodation information around Chichibu special square.

Q.Can I stay overnight in my tent at Chichibu special square?

A.No, you can not allowed to stay overnight in your tent at Chichibu special square.

Q.Is it possible to camp around the venue of the race or parking lot?

A.Please use campsite nearby. You can stay overnight in your car at the parking lot of Chichibu special square.

Q.Can I use the parking lot at Chichibu special square?

A.Yes, you can park your car from the day before the race. We have enough space.

Q.Is there any shuttle bus back to Hanno after I finish FT50?

A.Unfortunately we have no service of shuttle bus, please take a train.

Q.Is there any transportation from Chichibu special square (Ft50 finish point) to FT50 start point?

A.Unfortunately we have no service of shuttle bus, please take a first train departs at Seibu-Chichibu station, so you can make it in time for your FT50 start.

Q.I'm going to drive to Hanno to participate FT50 on the race day. If I finish my race at the last minute, around 21:00, how much time will it take to back to Hanno?

A.The last train is 22:20 departs from Seibu-Chichibu station to arrives 23:07 atHanno station. In case if you miss this train, you can take a nap at Buko Onasen. (Admission will be charged)

Q.I will take a train to participate FT50 and will be there after 6:00 a.m. Is it OK to registration?

A.It takes around 20 minutes on foot from Hanno station to Hanno Central Park (start point). You will be in time.
